How does it survive?
At right is an aerial photo of a portion of Valley Creek, which flows northeast into the Schuylkyll River. The portion to the north of the PA Turnpike is largely within Valley Forge National Park. But-- take a look at the development south (upstream) of the Turnpike. Yet, the stream still holds a population of wild brown trout! This is possible in part due to the efforts of Trout Unlimited.
It may be a cliche to refer to strength in numbers, but in conservation matters this is certainly true. If you value the recreation and beauty provided by our coldwater fisheries, won't you please join us?
