Valley Creek received another dose of chlorinated water that killed a lot of fish, including trout, suckers and dace. This time the source of the spill was a fire suppression water line. This was not an Aqua water main break as had been reported in the press and here earlier. The water rushed out of the broken line and into a feeder stream then into Little Valley and Valley Creek itself. The PA Fish and Boat Commission and PA DEP have been on the scene. Chlorinated water damages fish gills so they cannot breathe. Click here for a video of the fish kill.
