Valley Creek Stream Restoration

Saturday, May 2nd
In the early 2000’s, VFTU chapter members installed a water jack in Valley Creek in the vicinity of Church Rd and Yellow Springs Rd.  A water jack is a pool-digging device, meant to create and maintain a pool on the downstream side of the device.  Over the years there has been significant deterioration of the structure to the point that it is not serving its purpose. We are in the process of gathering the necessary wood structure, rock and accessories to restore the water jack. We  will most likely need about 20 VFTU chapter members to complete the project. Let us know if you are interested in being a part of this important restoration project to Valley Creek.
